Ways for Restaurants to Get Involved

The connection between the restaurant industry and Share Our Strength’s goal of No Kid Hungry is a natural one. A chef’s desire to share his or her passion and talent to nourish people with food often extends beyond the dining room to those in the community who struggle with hunger.

This is why for more than 20 years, thousands of chefs and restaurateurs have formed the backbone of Share Our Strength’s fundraising efforts. Through pioneering culinary fundraisers, Share Our Strength gives chefs and restaurateurs a chance to showcase their cuisine while supporting a cause close to their hearts.

There are many ways that chefs and restaurateurs can support our efforts to make sure no child in America grows up hungry. You can:

1. Participate in one of our culinary fundraisers.
2. Donate items for our live and silent auctions.
3. Help sell tickets to our events by sending invitations to your database.
4. Promote our events through your existing communication channels like newsletters, emails, receipts or bill-stuffers.
5. Help raise awareness of the issue of childhood hunger in your community.
6. Share your reasons for giving back or lessons learned on our Facebook Page.
